summer
SC               sp
winter             wp               wp
Young sp: The post-juvenile moult includes the body and a varying portion of LC (most birds leave one or several LC unmoulted). Most birds moult no MC, but some include a few (or occasionally even all). GC are usually not included, but a few birds show single or some moulted inner GC (often GC9). Single tertials (one to all) or RR may be included, but most individuals do not.
Young wp: The pre-breeding moult is generally more extensive than the post-juvenile. A varying portion of LC and MC are included (sometimes all), as well as some (often 1-6) inner GC, some tertials and some RR. Note that, like in other relatives, the moult sequence of GC does often not follow the regular order.
Adult SC: The post-breeding moult includes the whole plumage, but retained/forgotten feathers are quite regularly seen.

The pre-breeding moult is generally more extensive than the post-juvenile. A varying portion of LC and MC are included (sometimes all), as well as some (often 1-6) inner GC, often all three tertials and some RR. Note that, like in other relatives, the moult sequence of GC does often not follow the regular order.
