Young sp: The post-juvenile moult includes the body, LC, MC and usually the inner 1-3 GC, but range vary from 0 to 6 moulted GC, although the extremes are not common (according to Jenni & Winkler [1994] c. 2% of the birds does not include any GC). A single tertial is only (very) rarely included. Ginn & Melville (1983) states that some RR are occasionally included, but this must be rare in Scandinavia.
Adult SC: The post-breeding moult includes the whole plumage.
Number of GC included in the post-juvenile moult shown as percentage of 1cy birds at Ottenby 2011-2013 (n=276).
