Young sp: The post-juvenile moult includes the body and usually all LC, MC and inner GC (90% of our birds at Ottenby have included 3-5 inner GC in the moult). According to Jenni & Winkler (1994) and Svensson (1992) range include 0-10 GC, but the extremes are rare. A few birds may also include single CC, tertial or alula feathers.
Adult SC: The post-breeding moult includes the whole plumage. |
